Shea Racing Heads to Circuit of The Americas for Pirelli World Challenge Tire Test
Orlando, FL – Pirelli World Challenge team, Shea Racing, will participate in an off-season tire test scheduled Friday, December 6 at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas. Pirelli, in partnership with the series, is holding the test to help teams prepare for the upcoming series’ 25th anniversary 2014 season.
The 2013 season marked the team’s first year as a multi-car effort with three Touring Car B-Spec entries and one Touring Car entry capturing Three Top-Ten Championship finishes and a podium during the championship weekend.
“We look forward to partaking in the Pirelli tire test to prepare and advance our program with our partners for the 2014 season,” said co-owner and driver, Shea Holbrook.”
Eric Filgueiras, of Cocoa Beach, Florida will attend the tire test with Shea Racing. Filgueiras has an accomplished background karting and experience in formulas cars competing in the USF2000 Series.
