Shea Racing Adds Pro Mazda to Car Roster

Feb 14, 2014

Orlando, FL – Shea Racing announces their newest car to their roster with the addition of a Pro Mazda. Last weekend the team took to the track at Sebring International Raceway with their stunning blue and white livery, supported by TrueCar, Lucas Oil and Radium.

Shea Holbrook, recently named a recipient of the Women’s Sports Foundation’s Women in the Winners Circle Project Podium Grant, was at the helm for the test.

“This new venture is incredibly exciting for us. We have the ability to run the car in the Pro Mazda Championship in the near future. Today, we’re focusing on delivering a platform for drivers looking for testing opportunities in a professional environment with one-on-one driver development,” said Shea Holbrook, driver and co-owner at Shea Racing.

Spencer Pigot, Pro Mazda driver, attended the three-day test helping the team gain ground.

“They’ve proven to be competitive in sportscars and will be competitive with this car as well. It’s great to see them diversify and I look forward to watching what they do with it,” said Pigot.

As the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge season approaches the team prepares for another multi-car effort. The 25th Anniversary of the series also marks the fifth consecutive year Shea Racing has competed in the series.

“We’ve made huge strides the past few years and plan to continue that momentum into the new season with a new look,” said Holbrook.
