SHEA RACING ADDS NEW DRIVER TO DRIVER LINEUP FOR REMAINDER OF SEASON

Toronto, ON (July 10, 2013) – The Shea Racing Team announced today they have signed Brian Fowler, of Fort Lauderdale, FL for the remainder of the Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car B-Spec season. Fowler who is originally from Burlington, Ontario is anxious to compete at the Streets of Toronto July 12-13 weekend.

“I’m definitely excited to enter back into professional racing after some time off and thrilled to be doing it with Pirelli World Challenge. The TCB class is thriving and competition is intense. I look forward to bringing my best performance and putting on a good show for the race fans,” said Fowler.

Fowler will contest the No. 65 Ford Fiesta with support from Shea Racing.

Fowler has spent the last three years perfecting his craft by racing lightweight prototype cars. He last raced professionally in 2011 were he competed in the IMSA Cooper Tire Prototype Lights Championship. That year saw him a podium at Mid-Ohio and fourth place finish in the L2 Championship. In 2012, Brian moved into an LMP3/CN prototype with Ligier Racing USA. The team accumulated several victories in the FARA Endurance Championship. This year will be Fowler’s first attempted at Touring Car B-Spec competition in the Pirelli World Challenge.

Events at Honda Indy Toronto get underway on Fri., July 12 at 9:45 a.m. eastern for the first official practice session, qualifying is set for 5:55 p.m. and Race 1&2 will be Sat., July 13 at 12:50 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. eastern.
