SHEA RACING UNVEILS CAR LIVERIES AND PARTNERS

May 13, 2013

Austin, TX – Last Thursday the Shea Racing Team announced their 2013 program and driver lineup along with the introduction to their new “Race Car Engineer Development Program.” Today they unveil their 2013 car liveries and team partners.

The Shea Racing Team is ecstatic to announce their new partnerships with world leading companies at the top of their industries: OMP Racing, manufacturers of racing safety equipment and tuning accessories. CoolShirt Systems, personal cooling systems with the mission to create innovative products that help people manage body heat in extreme environments and Penta Water, a revolutionary, patented 13-step, 11-hour filtration and purification process that provides advanced hydration making it the purest water available of the market.

Jon Miller campaigns the eye catching No. 68 Honda Civic Si with partner Titan Motorsports, loudbasstard.com (an all natural, bamboo sound amplifier for smart-phones), Walter D’Andrea Bodyworks and Muhu.mx. The No. 68 livery was designed by Titan’s Marketing Director, Wes Bourne and the wrap was provided and expertly applied by Tony Sutherland of Walter D’ Adrea Bodyworks in Orlando, Florida.

Wes describes the design: “Jon and I really wanted to bring some fresh style to the road racing paddock. After a few different ideas went from my head to the screen, this one really stuck and I just ran wild with it. It would look prefect on a Formula Drift car, and that’s exactly what I was going for. The colors are going to show well on photo’s and TV, the car is going to be hard to miss.”

Shea Holbrook, driver and co-owner is to drive the No. 67 2013 Honda Fit. Last year Holbrook was named a member of the TRUECar Racing Women Empowered Initiative and plans to roll her momentum from her fourth place finish in the championship into a first place finish this season. Her partners include Radium, TRUECar, Lucas Oil, Eibach Springs, CoolShirt, PRR, VisionX Custom Graphics, K&N Filters, Penta Water, OMP, Bell, and E3 Spark Plugs.

“I’m thrilled to have P.J. as a teammate this year to push each other to the front and during Jon’s testing his performance was very promising. I look forward to seeing us achieve our goals both on and off the race track and I’m very grateful for the continued support and new partnerships this season,” said Holbrook.

Canadian driver P.J. Groenke is ready for the competition as he returns to the series to contest a full Touring Car B season.

“Pirelli World Challenge is an amazing series to showcase my sponsors and a great platform for all drivers to compete. I’m really looking forward to racing at the new Circuit of the Americas track!” Groenke said.

Groenke will pilot the No. 66 2013 Honda Fit with partners Mulligan Gold, Tundra Technical Solutions, Verax.ca, Clairhaven Ltd., Martinrea International Inc., TPL Lighting, and Warp Speed Computers Inc. Other sponsors include ARS Access Restoration Services, Affinity Luxury Car Rentals, Alpha Laboratories Inc., Amsterdam Beer, Confident Paintless Dent Removal, Desson Manufacturing Ltd., Diplomat Trucking Ltd., Eventscape Inc., Payne Capital Corp., Pelto Agri Investments, Proprint Services Inc., Ro-Ro Property Management Corp., and 4Print.

Although the season begins this weekend in Austin, the team has been preparing, building cars and testing for many months.

“We spent endless days preparing these cars for the season. With 3 stock showroom cars and 60 days later we’ve built 3 pristine Honda racecars,” said Nick Chorley, Shea Racing Car Chief and Lead Mechanic.
