Orlando, FL (March 3, 2015) –Shea Racing announces comeback driver, Shea Holbrook to compete in the No. 67 Lucas Oil, BUBBA Burger, CoolShirt Systems, Hendrick Honda Civic Si for select Pirelli World Challenge races. Holbrook and team look forward to the season-opener, March 6-8th at the Circuit of the Americas.
“I’m grateful to have the opportunity to get back behind the wheel and all the credit falls to our wonderful partners,” said Shea Holbrook, driver and co-owner at Shea Racing.
Holbrook, 24-years-old, was a championship contender during the 2014 season finishing 2nd place in the TCA Championship while securing eight pole positions and five wins. Optimistic and determined as ever, Holbrook prepares for the season at hand.
“The goals are different this year. Although, how we’ll achieve them will be the same as they have always been. Teamwork, precision and perseverance have never let us down. I’m pleased to see the TCA class growing which in turn will bring more competition. From our experiences and successes, I believe we can bring a competitive advantage. We proved we could put our car upfront and we hope to do it again, time after time,” said Holbrook.
Due to scheduling conflicts between series Holbrook will compete in three of the six PWC venues including, Circuit of the Americas, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and Mid-Ohio.
Holbrook, kept busy during the off-season making headlines as she was recently featured in a national television commercial with affiliate, TrueCar. She is also currently driving in the IHRA Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series piloting a Jet Dragster with Larsen Motorsports where she will contest a full season.
“This year will probably be my busiest season yet. Jumping between the dragster and the road racing car shouldn’t be all that difficult because of how incredibly different they are. One thing will never change though. Whatever car or race it is I’m fully dedicated to delivering the best possible performance. As well as, furthering our partnerships, enhancing our overall brand and more importantly, getting all Shea Racing drivers to the podium.”
Holbrook completes the Shea Racing driver lineup along with TCB entries, Tom Noble in the No. 48 BIR Performance Driving School/West Real Estate Mini Cooper and Jay Salinsky in the No. 66 IDLife, (Race2IDLife.com) Honda Fit.
